Dr. Shun Chien has committed to extensive training and advanced continuing education in Implants and Oral Surgery. Dr. Chien received his Dental Degree (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry. He then went onto a year of General Practice Residency at NYU Langone Brooklyn hospital to gain experience in complex medical management and trauma cases. Afterwards, Dr. Chien further his education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for another year of postgraduate training. Since moving to the Bay Area, Dr. Chien enjoys taking his patients out of pain with relatively painless teeth extraction surgery. Furthermore, he is highly experienced in removing Wisdom teeth impactions. Dr. Chien also loves to rehabilitate patients’ smiles by providing Dental Implants to replace missing or broken teeth, giving patients back the function and confidence of having a healthy mouth. Dr. Chien is proud to provide different sedation options; from nitrous to oral minimal sedation to moderate IV sedation, to ensure his patients are comfortable and anxiety-free during the treatment. He strongly believes in collaborating and sharing with his dental colleagues to elevate the care of all patients. Dr. Chien is currently pursuing his diplomate status with the American Board of Implantology.
